In 2022, I began paying closer attention to the work behind celebrations. Conversations with families planning weddings, vendors managing bookings and people responsible for making events happen revealed the same pattern: important decisions were scattered across calls, messages, notes and personal relationships. What people remembered was the occasion. What interested me was the invisible coordination that made it possible.
That observation led me to found MatroMet, where I serve as Founder & CEO. The question was larger than how to create another directory of services. Could discovery, planning, coordination, trust, commerce, payments and memories eventually work together as one experience? MatroMet is the company through which I am exploring and building toward that answer.
MatroMet is in development. Selected capabilities are in research and development, testing and trials; the broader connected-platform vision is not yet a fully launched service. The work now is to make individual experiences useful, understandable and reliable before introducing them more widely. Product decisions have to survive contact with real needs, not just look convincing in a presentation.
“Observation before conclusion. Questions before frameworks.
Evidence before confidence.”
Raza Quadri
Founder · Author · Systems ThinkerI study the relationship between human behavior, incentives, technology and markets. A product can make an interface simpler while leaving the underlying problem untouched. I am more interested in where trust breaks down, where coordination costs accumulate, why people make certain choices and whether a better system can change the outcome. Those questions guide how I think about marketplaces, AI and the companies I want to build.
I am also developing Obey Nothing, a manuscript and independent-thinking framework about examining inherited beliefs, resisting automatic approval and taking responsibility for one's choices. It is not a rejection of expertise, evidence, law or ethics. It is an argument for understanding what deserves our agreement before giving it. The writing and the company are different forms of the same inquiry: how do people make decisions, and how might they make them more consciously?
I want to build work that remains useful beyond its introduction: technology that earns trust through execution, and ideas strong enough to be questioned. I value patience, but not inertia; ambition, but not claims that outrun evidence. If experience contradicts the original plan, the plan should change. The responsibility is to keep learning, building and improving what is real.
